The Plan Is Simple
The Problem
Career politicians don't vote away their own power. The system won't reform itself from the inside.
The Mechanism
Local communities already know honest, capable people. We help identify and support them to serve 2–6 years — then return home.
The Goal
No party loyalty. No ideology test. One shared goal: a constitutional amendment for congressional term limits.
How You Take Part
This starts in your own community — not in Washington. Tell us where you live and how you'd like to help, and we'll connect you with your local team.
-
Volunteer Where You Live Join your local district team and help find citizens worth backing.
-
Help Identify a Candidate You already know who in your community has the integrity for this. Point us to them.
-
Spread the Word Share American PACT with people who are tired of waiting on Congress to fix itself.
The American PACT Plan
We start where real change begins — at the local level.
-
Find Local Leaders American PACT members identify and encourage respected local citizens willing to serve. These volunteers pledge to support term limits legislation and dedicate two to six years of their lives as public servants.
-
Build District Teams Local selections come together within their state voting districts to choose individuals who will best represent their communities.
-
Fill Federal, State & Local Roles Federal: Volunteers step up to represent their districts in the U.S. House and Senate.
State & Local: Volunteers serve in state legislatures, county boards, city councils, mayor's offices, and governorships. -
Advance to the National Stage At the federal district level, the strongest candidates are elevated to the American PACT slate for House and Senate races. In time, we may also support candidates for governorships and the presidency.
-
Secure Constitutional Change With American PACT members elected across the nation, state legislatures will be positioned to approve a federal constitutional amendment for term limits.
The Goal
Build a nationwide movement of citizen-leaders who serve briefly, legislate responsibly, and restore accountability — not lifelong political careers. Together, we can make term limits a reality and return power to the people.
Why This Will Work
Skeptical? The historical evidence — from Nobel Prize-winning research to real-world crisis response — shows that ordinary citizens, when trusted and organized, consistently outperform top-down institutions. We've compiled the case.
